In present times, the world has been adopting renewable power at a rapid rate. India is also emerging in the global arena as a leading generator of renewable energy. In its efforts to move further towards sustainable development, the government has set a target to achieve 175 GW of installed capacity of renewable energy by the end of 2022. Till date, 23 GW of this target has already been achieved and 40 GW is under different stages of implementation. This inclination towards solar generation has allowed India to overpower the US and become the 2nd largest country in terms of solar power generation in the world. Now, the country is marching towards the achievement of the laid targets for the year 2022.
